Signac was a French Neo-Impressionist painter who, working with Georges Seurat, helped develop the Pointillist style. This painting is Signac's take on The historical palace in Avignon, southern France, one of the largest and most important medieval Gothic buildings in Europe, the Palais des Papes. |
