History: Le point Deau Flamant Rose is an extract from the famous Tentures Des Indes, or Hangings of India, set of 8 tapestries created during the 18th century and manufactured at Goebelins. The original artwork was designed by Albert Eckhout, a famous 17th century artist, and depicts the exotic flora and fauna and natives of the Dutch colonies. This imported fine art tapestry piece features a flamingo at the water point.
