| History: | Spring - Mucha is a Belgian woven jacquard wall hanging tapestry. It features the artwork of pioneering Czechoslovakian artist Alphonse Mucha (1860 – 1939) from The Seasons Series, 1896. Mucha's works frequently featured beautiful young women in flowing, vaguely Neoclassical-looking robes, often surrounded by lush flowers which sometimes formed halos behind their heads often using pale pastel colors. The Mucha Style became known as Art Nouveau French for new art and was often imitated. This piece brings a sense of soft beauty into any room it is displayed. |
