History: | Taking a scene from the original 18th century Royal Residences tapestry, our Verdue Chateau Carriage Tapestry boasts the resplendent beauty of the Gobelins weavers. The textile family was commissioned by King Louis XIV to commemorate the properties. This soft colored wall hanging depicts a fairy tale like scene a beautiful palace shown beyond a rode with ornate horse drawn carriage approaching along the road below. The thread is dyed in subtle hues typical of French vintage textiles in dusty rose, blue and green. Woven in France from cotton/viscose/poly blend. Lined back and tunnel top for easy hanging. |
