| History: | Chateau Bellevue is a French wall tapestry inspired from the Tentures des Maisons Royales, a set of 12 tapestries, one for each month of the year. They were woven at the Gobelins towards the end of the 17th century for Louis XIV. Each tapestry depicts a beautiful chateau during the 12 month cycle. Here Chateau Bellevue is featured in a warm August landscape. |
